Where are the Cameras? I must be on an episode of Punk'd.

I keep waiting for Ashton Kutcher to come out from behind a tree and tell me I've been Punk'd. I've been looking for the hidden cameras, but I can't seem to find them. Surely, no one really has this much bad luck.

I know you all are probably really sick of hearing about the roller coaster/soap opera that is my life of late. And I promise not to make a habit of these posts...but this one is a doozy. So if you think I'm just a cry baby (and admittedly, I am) click away now.

If you're still here...you won't believe it. You really won't.

I spent the evening last night in the ER with John...AGAIN. That man slipped on a patch of ice in our driveway coming home from (get this) a doctor's appointment. Luckily, no damage to the leg this time...but he threw his back out.

Seriously, they know him by name at the ER. And as we left this evening, the receptionist's parting words were "see you next week." Gah!

And just to add a little spice to my life...the new job I just took laid me off today. Um yep. 5 weeks. Must be a new record. So I'm looking for work again. Anybody got a job for a design blogger? Sheesh.

But on a bright note...I finally figured out how to get the "beachy waves" look for my hair. (Yeah, I'm deep like that.) Sure could use a root touch up though. Ha!

Sweater and necklace: Target, Belt: Vintage

Thanks for indulging my rantings. Back tonight with Frugal Friday...lots of inspiration to enjoy.

I read your blog always and have been going along on this different journey with you, your poor husband, I wonder how he is feeling with all this that is going on, it has to have him down inside, you know men don't show their feeling as much as we do, I'll include you in my prayers but know that "this to shall pass".
Please tell me how you figured out the "beachy waves" I'd love to know, we are leaving April 5th for Jamaica and my hair is wavey but I do straighten it, I know my hair will surely not be straight there what with the heat and humidity.
You look wonderful even with all that both of you have been thur, I love Target and your necklace and sweater:)

Bless your heart!! Praying that you will have a break from all of this soon!! Glad your hubby is ok..

Oh I am so sorry to hear that... know what is crazy?? I kept thinking about you yesterday and didn't know why (and its not like we have ever met in person or anything...) so just went ahead and prayed for you all.

Now on a cheery note... you are quite lovely! I must admit I am a pushover for blue eyes... my middlest can get me every (well pretty close) time if he opens his eyes all big and looks at me adoringly (which isn't often in a teenager and definitely means he WANTS something, ha ha!) with his BIG blue eyes... And in all honesty your blue eyes are quite striking! add to that sweater combo and the look is stunning!

(so sorry about the job...)

Oh for pete's sake! I think your hubby just needs to stay in the house until spring. Poor guy! The doctor can make house calls. I hope things look up for you guys. You totally deserve some goodness. Even with all of the troubles you've had, you still look fabulous. :) I love the whole look.

I am so sorry! It sure is hard to stay positive when you feel like you can barely catch your breath between the hurdles. I hope your poor husband is feeling better soon, and you are able to find a job you love soon!

bless your poor hubby's heart. He can't get a break to recover.
All i can say is, when it rains it pours.
Say, you haven't prayed for patience lately, have you? Years ago when my kids were little I was struggling this one week and I prayed for patience....boy, what a week of craziness that ended up being.
Heres hoping you all have a better weekend.
by the way, your hair looks great. : )

Oh, honey. (I'm Southern, so I can call you "honey," right?)

A couple of years ago I went through a period very much like the one you've been experiencing. When a resident I'd met in Thoracic Surgery (with my husband) and then later in Pediatric Cardiology (with my middle son) addressed me by name in the Emergency Department (with my youngest son) and asked me if I'd had a good trip to Charleston, I knew I'd been around the hospital too much.

I'm so sorry! Things will get better; I'm sure of it. But they can be really trying when you're in the middle of a "What now?" stage. Don't apologize for venting or ranting. We're all very happy to share your burdens in some small way.

"This too will pass"...I know that does not give you much comfort but somehow all of this crazy stuff going on will work its self out...See that light at the end of the tunnel...you may have to squint to see it but its there.....just keep walking toward it....All my best!

OH SWEETIE HANG IN THERE!!
If it makes you feel a bit better my poor daughter had her car broken into and all of her beautician stuff stolen
then when she got to work they laid her off. Now that's a bad day. So hope you and she find a job soon

Hang in there. I said that about last year. So many things went wrong. But rough patches pass and things will settle down soon.

That is SO my train of thought...bad day....but GOOD HAIR! That's called the bright side sister! :) I started back to work a tiny bit 2 years ago...a bit more last year and this year I am working a bit tooooo much. I was a teacher before I switched to "stay at home mom" status and now I am just substituting. I don't ever want to be a teacher again. I LOVE the kids but don't want to clock in the hours after and before school when my kids are in so many activities. Also, sadly enough, for the hours put in...the pay stinks in our district. That being said I am a substitute teacher. Love the flexablity. It buys me some time until I figure out what I want to be when I grow up. It's my 40's mid-life crisis! :) Good luck with the job hunt! (and the semi-broken hubby!)
